Welcome to our newest service!

Due to the high volume of enquiries and questions about major tourist attractions between Southampton and London, we are now pleased to offer the following services for your enjoyment and to complete your holiday experience in the UK.

Below are a selection of frequently requested places of interest, including a short description of what you can expect to see and how long you may like to spend. On each tour there will be ample photo opportunities and all offer perfect locations for a bite to eat...

Titanic Memorials & More
This tour of Southampton (an international Sea Port with rich maritime heritage) takes you past sites of significance, including the Titanic Engineer Officers Memorial and the Titanic Musicians Memorial, as well as South Western House (where the First Class passengers stayed before boarding the Titanic) and Canute Chambers (Headquarters of White Star Line in 1912).

Other sites of interest as we pass through the City would include Mayflower Park (from where the Pilgrim Fathers sailed in August 1620), you will also have the opportunity to see parts of the Old Town Walls that surrounded Medieval Southampton, we have soooo much history right on our doorstep!

This tour would be a great way to spend an hour either before or after a cruise...!

New Forest
Major highlights of the New Forest (designated a Royal Hunting Area by William the Conqueror in 1079) include Exbury Gardens (www.exbury.co.uk); the beautiful village of Beaulieu (www.beaulieu.co.uk/beaulieu/index); Bucklers Hard - a unique 18th Century village where warships for Nelsons Navy were built (www.bucklershard.co.uk) and Lyndhurst - often regarded as the capital of the Forest! At any of these locations you will be able to sample a sumptuous English Cream Tea, our own personal favourite is at Old Holmsley (www.newforesttearooms.co.uk/index.htm), enjoy...!

This tour would be a wonderful way to spend a morning or an afternoon (or even both)...!

Winchester
Winchester is another local City with a fascinating history (chosen by King Alfred as the Capital of England in Saxon times)! We would drop you off in the centre of Winchester (www.visitwinchester.co.uk/site/home) and show you where to find a number of small Museums located in some fantastic character buildings (www.winchester.gov.uk/museums); you will be able to visit the stunning Cathedral - used during the filming of the Da Vinci Code (www.winchester-cathedral.org.uk/visiting/2); you could also wander through the High Street and surrounding area offering many more examples of Winchester's amazing architecture!

This would be the perfect way to pass the time en route to or from Heathrow...!

Salisbury & Stonehenge
A tour taking in Salisbury (home of Britain's tallest church spire) as well as Stonehenge is top of many people's list! The city of Salisbury has a stunning Cathedral which has the best preserved of the four surviving original 1215 Magna Carta (www.salisburycathedral.org.uk) and Stonehenge remains a mystery to this day - the giant, magnificent and magical stones, originating some 240 miles away in Wales, have been on Salisbury Plain for over 4000 years (www.english-heritage.org.uk/server/show/nav.16472)!

Between Salisbury and Stonehenge lies Old Sarum (the forerunner of Salisbury), this site was raised in about 500BC by Iron Age settlers and was later occupied by the Romans, Saxons and Normans alike (www.english-heritage.org.uk/server.php?show=nav.16426).

In addition to Salisbury and Stonehenge, Wardour Castle - where part of the Kevin Costner film Robin Hood Prince of Thieves was set (www.english-heritage.org.uk/server/show/nav.16439) and the picturesque village of Shaftesbury (www.shaftesburydorset.com/content.asp?sid=10) and are also well worth visiting!

This tour would be an outstanding way to spend the day...!

Windsor & Runnymede
One of the most often enquired about locations is Windsor (a town with more than 1000 years of history)! The top attraction in Windsor is of course the Castle (www.windsor.gov.uk/site/things-to-do/windsor-castle-p43983) - the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world and the official residence of Her Majesty The Queen!

Just a few miles from Windsor, another important land mark is located at Runnymede (www.nationaltrust.org.uk/main/w-vh/w-visits/w-runnymede). Situated on the banks of the river Thames, it was here in 1215 that King John sealed Magna Carta, a document which has influenced the development of English common law and many constitutional documents including the US Constitution. Also at Runnymede is the Commonwealth Airman Memorial (for those who lost their lives in the Second World War) as well as the John F. Kennedy Memorial and various memorial trees that are indicative of the area's importance in world history.

For those travelling as a group or for those who would like an in depth guided tour, we are pleased to introduce Amanda Bryett (MITG) (www.windsortouristguides.co.uk). An award winning Institute of Tourist Guiding Blue Badge holder and a Windsor Castle Accredited Guide, Amanda has a lively interest in history and The Monarchy in particular and as well as being able to give you a personal tour of the castle, Amanda also offers guided Tours around London incorporating all of the top attractions!

This would be a fantastic way to spend any available time that you have en route to Heathrow or London...!

Arundel
A visit to Arundel (ancestral home of the Dukes of Norfolk for over 900 years) is to be highly recommended. This is a unique and historic market town, with its skyline dominated by the symbolic Castle (www.arundelcastle.org), just as imposing is the rising spire of the town's Cathedral (www.arundelcathedral.org/welcome.htm).

This would be a lovely way to spend an hour or two en route to or from Gatwick...!

Our tours can be tailor made to suit you, be that an individual, a couple or a larger group (up to a maximum of 8 passengers). Using forums such as Trip Advisor (www.tripadvisor.co.uk) or Cruise Critic (www.cruisecritic.co.uk), many of our cruising customers have also found other like-minded travellers to share costs with and we are always pleased to accommodate such parties!

Depending on your preferences, our tours could also be "mix and match". We are always happy to combine two or more shorter tours to make a full day, or we could shorten a day tour to suit your travelling timetable. In addition, if there is somewhere else that you would like to visit, we could take that into consideration too!
